Ring Around....My Finger

Do you own a Mother's Ring? If so, do you wear it all the time? Does it mean a lot to you? I don't have one....yet. I have wanted one for a long time, but now, having Little Man and knowing I am done, I really want one. I have three kids, but I want my ring to have four stones. Before Mr. Smarty Pants, back in 1991, the year I got married, I became pregnant with a honeymoon baby. I carried him for 24 weeks. I went to a regular scheduled dr's. appointment at approx. six months along, only to be told there was no heartbeat. Twelve hours later, I delivered my first child, a stillborn little boy. Even though to everyone else, it looks like I have three kids, I know that I am the mom of four. He will have a gem on my mother's ring as well. I don't want my husband to spend lots of money on me for Christmas, so I think I'll just tell him I'd love a ring for Christmas, my birthday (March), anniversary (April) and Mother's Day! I have a real issue with lots of money being spent on just me. So I played around this morning on a website that allows you to "build" your ring. I have two December babies, one August, and one October. Here is what I came up with:

What do you think?!

  1. The first one is my favorite!
I don't have one and I say all the time that I never need another ring...ever! I would like a necklace with something Ellie & Maggie on it though. Maybe someday.

  2. I like simple but elegant.

I don't have a mother's ring but I think the perfect time to get one is when you know you are done having babies. I have a necklace with a charm for A. I could esily get a new charm in the future if needed. Can't wait to see what you choose and we double/triple up on holidays for big gifts too.

  3. I don't have a mother's ring either, but I would LOVE one!

I really like #'s 3 and 5. I am not much into silver but I love the gold. They are simple, but elegant!

Here's hoping you get your ring! :> )

    Blessings~

  4. They are all beautiful, but my favorite would be the first one, just because I'm not into the gold...{even my wedding ring is white gold.} I have a necklace with all my children's birthdstones inside of a heart {even J's} and I love it! I really like the ring idea too, can't wait to see what one you pick!! :)
