A Pain in the BUTT!

I am so tired. Of so many things! It's really hard not to be a big pessimistic grouchy person right now. But I'm trying. I have a horrible, HORRIBLE case of sciatica in my left leg. I have been to my doctor twice, and Friday I went to the hospital to have x-rays done. I start physical therapy soon. It is AWFUL. I would choose giving birth over this any day. It is a constant pain right in my butt, for real, and it runs down my whole leg, 95% of the day. I am taking pain meds around the clock, and I sit on the couch lay on the couch too much! Okay, so time to find the positive in all of that.....I can do this......
I have great kids who have not complained once about doing extra chores for me.
I have a hubby that has been doing ALL of the cooking for the last few days.
It's in that 5% of my good time that I get the kitchen cleaned!
Even though we desperately need a job for the DiSH pronto, it has been nice having him here to take care of me. He has "magic" hands, and gives the best massages. So that's been awesome. Friday he stayed by my side as I visited the doctor, hospital, pharmacy, and then we got a few groceries.
I have a great sister who is also my assistant at church, teaching the littlest ones, and she has taken the job over the last few weeks for me.
I should tell you that the DiSH has a job to do on Thursday, that will help us quite a bit. He is installing garage doors in a VERY nice home up north here in Maine. And he knows of someone that may need his help with some shingling. We are trying sooo hard to move through this struggle of no job. He has applied to many places, with nothing yet. Soon we will be in trouble, but I am trusting that the Lord will provide.
So that's it for now.....
I hope I have more interesting things to write about soon!! Stay tuned!!

  1. Poor thing! I hope you feel better soon. My prayers are with you and the DiSH during this struggle.

  2. Ouch!!! That is a bummer about the sciatica, that pain in your butt. I will be praying for you. I am so glad that your husband has some work this week. That is great! God will take care of you. Help is always on the way. He is working on your behalf to bring you through this time and get you to the next chapter in your lives.
    Hope you feel better soon,

  3. Feel better, Lisa! I'm so sorry. I know that that is a painful, horrible thing to bear, and I hope it will pass soon. Thinking of you....

  4. You know I am always praying for you guys. God will provide. I know that pain though and it does not feel good. Sorry you are hurting but glad you have help.

I'm at Home, so stop and say Hi!
