This will be quick, I can't sit still for long. So here's the latest on my sciatica problem: Found out on Monday that I have a LARGE MASSIVE herniated disk at L5-S1. Today, I saw my doctor again, after two days of being on the couch. The plan had been to continue with PT for 6 weeks, and have an EMG (electromyography, NOT a fun test, so I hear), and see if things are better. But I just can't do it. I can't live from the couch anymore. So today, a new game plan. I am now awaiting a consultation with a surgeon, to see what he thinks about surgery. I may have to wait many weeks, even over a month for that, so it's going to be a long road. I am barely making it to class, and I feel about 10% me. I want my life back. The one I had before Thanksgiving! The one where I could tie my shoes, load the dishwasher, throw a stick of wood into the stove, walk to the mailbox, drive to the grocery store, pick up my sweet baby boy and swing him around the room. I lay on the couch, lean over and change his diaper on the floor. I praise God a
And so now the waiting game begins. I am not scared of surgery, I have been doing some light homework on the subject. I don't want to read too much; that's never good. But I've read enough to feel educated and ready for whatever. So please pray for me! It is so comforting to hear regularly, that you are. THANK YOU.
And now, a bit of good news! In the last 3 days, I have gained 3 new followers!! Awesome! I was at 25 for a very long time, and don't get me wrong, I was completely satisfied! But I am just so happy to have more people that care enough to read me! One problem though.....I want to say hi to my newbies, but when I click on the new little icon under "followers", it doesn't provide me with any way to do so. If I'm missing something, please tell me!

ReplyDeleteOhhhh I am hoping it is all resolved for you soon. God does have a way of working things out - like The DiSH being out of work to help you. Have they at least given you some great pain meds.? Praying for you!
Oh Lisa, I am so sorry that you are still having so much pain. I guess it is a good thing that your DISH is off work now! He is able to be there for you. I will be praying that the doctors are directed by the Lord to get you better and if it is surgery, I pray peace over you.
