High in the Sky and Fun in a Fort

Saturday was a beautiful day! The DiSH, Mr. Smarty Pants, Little Man and myself went on a little road trip to Prospect, Maine.
We went to a childhood favorite spot of mine, Fort Knox.
There is also a bridge there, the Penobscot Narrows Bridge with Observatory. It is an observatory in one of the towers of the bridge, that is 420 feet in the air!
This is from the ground, looking up. You can see the bridge where traffic rides, and then the tower continues into the sky.
Little Man was not at all phased with the height at which we were! He kept talking about the water he could see.
We then went over to the Fort. This Fort took over 20 years to complete, and was never used in battle, so it is in great condition! It is a very fun place to run and play.
Little Man tried very hard to pick up a canon ball!
My hair looks a little crazy due to the wind, but we had such a great day. Girly Girl was camping, so she missed out on the fun, having fun of her own! We will make the trip again this summer, gathering friends to go with us!!
