December...Hmmmm....

December!! My favorite month...I think!! With two kids having birthdays this month, its very busy!! And you should know, their birthdays are the 20th and 22nd! A whirlwind of 6 days, thats for sure. This is a very emotional month for me too, but hopefully just this year. I keep thinking about 1 year ago, and how at this time I thought I had a little over two months to go before Baby '08 arrived. Little did I know Litle Man would be here in less than 3 weeks. :)

First Time Meeting...

His birth was fast and an emergency, and even though now all is well, and he is a very healthy, happy, smart 11 month old, I still get butterflies thinking about it. The night he was born there was a snow storm. The other night when it snowed for the first time this winter, I felt so anxious and upset, but was mad at the same time for my "unnecessary" feelings. I wanted so bad to start December totally organized, a little calendar to follow for the next three weeks, so that by the 19th, all is done and I can breathe on his birthday.....just breathe. When I say "all is done" I mean preparations for both birthdays, and all christmas shopping, decorating, etc. But Little Man decided that 1:30am was a good time to wake up and desire to slumber the rest of the night on top of Mommy, while she's rocking. :) No laying him back down, uh uh. I thought for sure he was getting his first tooth, so I didn't put him down. And sleeping in a glider rocker doesn't happen. I have not been able to get out of my own way today! I have managed a shower, managed to get Mr. Smarty Pants and Girly Girl off to school, change and feed Little Man, but thats about it. The DiSH came home early, so that's been good, I was able to snooze a little on the couch! But LM is now reaching for me, whining, just wanting Mommy. So, I have no idea where this blog was headed when I first began, but I'm sure it has ended some place completely different! I am listening to a song by Jaci Valesquez, I Will Rest In You. It is beautiful and just what I needed to hear.... Here are Little Man and me, on a more alert day!
