a-MAZE-ing Day!

Monday was a holiday, but Andy had to work. Being a residential counselor at a boys' home means more work when the boys are not in school. So I was left with a day off with kids and did NOT want it to be just another day. Then my sister called! "Whatcha doin'?" She asked. "Nothing. What are you doing?" Her husband was also working, but not at his paid job. They are in the middle of renovating their home, and he was wearing his hammer that day, and was "working". So my sister and I decided to take our kids to a local corn maze! I have never been to a corn maze, and thought it would be fun. So off we went, me and my two (Girly Girl and Little Man) and her and her two little ones, "E" and "C". LM and C are the same age. E is seven. It was a beautiful day and the corn maze was not crowded at all. It felt good to be out in the October air. Little Man was a little too mischievous though, and wanted to run through the maze, taking turns left and right, and even getting out of sight a few times. Thank goodness Girly Girl could run fast and catch him! He had to spend a few time out's in his cousin's stroller. It was a great day, and I can't wait for next year so that Daddy can go too! (Mr. Smarty Pants was gone to a friend's house for the day).
