So my last blog was a little on the self pity side. I was all alone, and decided I just wasn't up to writing about the kids, or how great Fall is, or how "awesome" school is going. When trying to think of what to share, all of those words just came to me. School is hard. I'm nervous about it. I'm feeling over-whelmed, that's the word! But alas, I am trying to take it day by day.
I'm exhausted today. We had a houseful last night, which was great. Lots of friends' of Mr. Smarty Pants, and the grown-ups sitting around coffee in the kitchen. The DiSH wowed us all with a really yummy Strawberry Cheese Coffee Cake, and I'm really glad lots of people were here to share it, or else I would have definitely eaten more than just one slice! We watched "I Love You Man" later, and I didn't go to bed until midnight. Little Man woke up at 3am, and after finally crawling back into bed at 4am, I just couldn't fall asleep! He woke up again at 5:30, so I brought him in bed with us. He slept for another hour. He has four teeth coming in at once right now, those stubborn incisors. (don't know if I spelled that right, and there's no spell check). Today, when he went down for his nap at 11am, so did I. He slept until 12:30, but I stayed in bed until 2pm! I still have a dull headache, and I just KNOW I could fall asleep if I laid down here on the couch!
It's cozy warm in here, fire going, dog laying on my feet, and a cuddle from Little Man every once in a while. The older two are cleaning rooms. It's been way too long!
The DiSH and I may go to see a movie tonight, but I don't know if I can stay awake!

You need to rest. Trust me, things are clearer when the mind and body are rested. Renew your mind and it'll be just fine. Hey, that rhymes!
