Slow as a Turtle Wordless Wednesday

Okay. A few words. Otherwise, you'd be wondering, "whaaa? Turtles?" Yesterday my kids' school took a field trip to the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, Maine. Practically every parent went, and our small christian school lacks a bus, so yeah....15 cars drivin' down Interstate 95, destination: see some big bears and moose! It was a fun day. Although for us, seeing Moose behind chain-linked fence was nothing. We see Moose all the time here in Maine. Direct quote from their website:
Many of the animals at the Maine Wildlife Park were brought here because they were injured or orphaned, or because they were human dependent - raised, sometimes illegally, in captivity. The Park serves as a permanent home for wildlife that cannot survive in the Wild. All kinds of animals are here for their protection and healing. And they're here for you to enjoy and learn more about.
I can't wait to go back. The DiSH missed out on a great day!

  1. Beautiful turtles! I love turtles and they make easy pets, but my sons won't settle for one...they want a pet with more action (smile).
